Pink and White Arm Chair
Beautiful damask in a bold pink and white fabric on the front and geometric pattern on the back allows this chair to be whimsical while making a statement in any room of the house. Notice the turned details on the front legs and brace as well as the arms. This chair was originally very low but I searched for appropriate turned spindles to add to the bottom of the legs to bring it up to normal height. (They can be unscrewed to lower the chair for a small child if desired.) I fell in love with the curves of the arm and the curve across the back rest. The wood was stripped, sanded and then dark stained to enhance the details and the pink fabric but was left to look aged. There are small insect holes in the wood (they're long gone!!!!) that left a detail that cannot be found - although imitated - in the legs. I look for pieces that have their own style and then bring them back to life with unique textiles.
